Elon Musk is sparking backlash after reportedly saying he’d consider buying OF and shutting it down.

In a clip making rounds, Musk is heard saying, “Yeah, I’ll do it. I don’t see why not,” which immediately triggered strong reactions online.

One viral response came from creator Sophie Rain, who pushed back hard, saying the platform has changed millions of lives from single moms paying rent to creators building real businesses.

She called shutting it down “one of the most selfish acts in modern business,” emphasizing that for many, it’s not just content and it’s their livelihood.
